A threaded Taylor spindles are used when you want to only use one door knob on a door and when a cabinet knob may not be big enough. The Taylor/Dummy spindle is used with door knobs that have loose back plates so that you are able to attach them as a singular item rather than a pair. This dummy spindle works with some of our door knobs that require a threaded spindle.
